Why I Moved to Raleigh
I arrived in New York from Ireland when I was 17 years old. It was then that Bay Ridge, Brooklyn became my new home
and the place where I later met my wife Margie who was born and raised in Brooklyn. I settled in the "Big Apple" and
bartended in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. I loved every minute living there.
When we started our family, we decided we wanted to live somewhere different and after much research, we decided to
move to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1995. What a great decision we made! The Raleigh area is situated in an ideal location.
To the east, there are beautiful beaches. To our west, there are magnificent mountains. We have the luxury of getting
in the car and enjoying these destinations year round.
If you do decide to come to North Carolina, you should take full advantage of visiting both. The Triangle Area (Raleigh,
Durham and Chapel Hill) consistently get voted one of the top places to live and work in the country in various national
magazines such as "Money Magazine".
What I have to offer you, is the experience I have from making the move here and advice on what to do as well as what not to do. The real estate market here is very strong and depending on your situation there are places that will suit your needs and the needs of your family members. If you have children, there are good schools to think about and a multitude of activities that your kids can be involved in. I am convinced that you will benefit form someone who has made the move and who has been involved in the real estate business here for the past 11 years. When I meet people now (after the fact) who have made the move in the past, they tell me that they would have loved to meet me when they were going through the moving process. I look forward to hearing from you and if you have any questions you are welcome to call me at (919) 696-7600.
